During 2012, a small group of friends started dreaming about how they could convert a dilapidated Gate House to the park. As a result, the Lodge Café, Bowling Park opened its doors in August 2018. It’s been a long road!
We believe that by developing our community spaces and providing formal and informal activities and events we make a positive change to people’s lives and our community.
We have done many things since we opened and will endeavour to do much more. We have three parts to the building.
- Café – this is run by an independent small business
- Community Room (upstairs) – for hire for events, groups, meeting, parties etc.
- The Cabin (wooden hut next to the main building) – for hire as above.
We hope you enjoy getting involved in various activities in the park and find pleasure making use of any of the spaces and services. We aim to serve our community well. Enjoy!
